Your Next Event at Oceano Hotel in Half Moon Bay

Recently, the Oceano Hotel & Spa offered to have me stay the night to enjoy one of their suites and get to know the property better. They are one of our partners, but they feel more like family now. After getting to know their team, being spoiled with a sweet welcome package upon arrival, learning about their farm and event venues, I am excited to spread the word about the Oceano to the Edible Silicon Valley network.

The Farm

Did you know that the Oceano has a farm?! It spans 20 acres and is in conjunction with lacopi Farms. The farm services the hotel and local restaurants. Right now, the farm is producing fava beans, Italian butter beans, romano beans, beets, celery, kale, lettuce, onions, sugar snap peas, potatoes, and pumpkins. The produce changes with the season. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Oceano has its own farm because that's a unique trait among hotels these days. I didn't see the farm myself, but Lauren and Jenn, the Event Managers, were sweet enough to take some photos and send them to me. Service at its finest! 

Events

Whether you need a space for 16-300 people, there are rooms throughout the Oceano available for rent, including the tent outside for bigger events like weddings. They frequently host bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and farewell breakfasts as part of their wedding packages. Half Moon Bay is such a picturesque destination, I can completely understand why its getting more and more popular for weddings and special occasions. A wedding or big event becomes very special at the Oceano because their expert events team will hold your hand throughout the entire planning and execution process. 

Suites

With 106 suites, the Oceano is the perfect size to host enough families for big events, while still feeling quaint and personalized. Each suite has a fireplace and outside balcony that overlooks the coastline or the ocean. There's nothing quite like falling asleep next to a fire and waking up with a cup of coffee overlooking the marina. Their beds are extremely cozy too, being in that suite was like being in a nook of Half Moon Bay heaven. 

The Oceano Hotel & Spa delivers beachy charm with friendly staff and surroundings. There are so many unique nuggets to discover in Half Moon Bay, so make the quick drive over the hill, reserve a room at the Oceano and get exploring!
