The Oxford Spotlight: London Street Food Found in Sunnyvale

The Oxford had a vision of bringing Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian, Indian and English flavors to the table in a lively atmosphere to emulate a British Gastropub. It did just that. Our takeaway from this four-month-old restaurant in the smack of downtown Sunnyvale is creativity at its finest. We're talking kale chips dipped in chickpea batter and served with creamy taziki sauce. And a watermelon, beetroot, goat cheese salad sprinkled with greens and olive dust. Oh, and the cocktails with aromatic basil or ground coffee beans floating on top so that smells take over your senses before the first sip. Every plate had exploding flavor profiles. 

It was also music to our ears when the staff mentioned produce comes from local farms and fish from Monterey. The staff, we might add, was incredibly friendly, innovative and hospitable.

Step inside our modern-day pub with its expansive bar and whimsical homages to London’s most famous cultural touchstones, including the Beatles, the Clash, Princess Diana, Beefeaters, and Big Ben.

Enjoy playful dishes — sized from bites (“small fellows’’) to mains (“big fellows’’) — that are perfect for sharing. We are proud to feature local, seasonal and often organic ingredients from Zuckerman’s Farm, Iacopi Farms, Panorama Baking Company, and Mary’s Chicken.
