Over authentic dim sum at China Village Seafood Restaurant in Belmont, ESV got the latest from the Whole Foods Market team. A few hours and steamed buns later, we got the scoop about the latest store on Alameda in San Jose, new 365 branded stores slated to open in San Francisco and Concord and their philanthropic efforts. Whole Foods Market has their hands in a bunch of exciting endeavors…

Two drink finds from Whole Foods Market on Alameda

The modern day “Willie Wonka” of juicers has arrived! This DIY juicer produces fresh fruit juice right next to the produce aisles. Treat yourself to the Satsuma Mandarin OJ and experience citrus heaven.

You can’t miss Whole Foods Market's first California brewery, Mission Creek Brewery, when you walk through the doors of this store. Named to celebrate the history of the San Jose landscape back when Mission Creek flowed into irrigation canals along the Alameda and helped Spanish settlers and Native Americans establish agriculture in the area, Mission Creek Brewery offers nineteen rotating taps of craft beer, plus wines & cider on draft.

On philanthropy

Did you know that Whole Foods Market gives monthly donations to local community non profits immediately surrounding all 10 Silicon Valley stores; Nickels for Non Profit, Community Support 5% day and Scrip? We've got all the details here

365 Whole Foods Market stores will open in San Francisco and Concord

Whole Foods Market's more affordable 365 brand will debut its own stores across the country this year, including Nob Hill in San Francisco. 10 stores are expected to open before October of 2017 and will offer a curated mix of groceries that reflect the company’s industry-leading quality standards.

A final note

Not only is Whole Foods Market doing its part innovation, sustainability and philanthropy wise, it's also a privilege to collaborate alongside the team behind it all. After dim sum ended, we left with a jolt of inspiration about the work we do. Being a publication that champions brands that positively shape our region and foodscape is the icing on the cake.

Thank you Whole Foods Market, for all that you do!
